Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Samuel Mateo was ordained into pastoral ministry in May of 1994 by the Apostolic Christian Church Council to lead a congregation in the city of Holyoke, Massachusetts. In a response to God’s calling, Rev. Samuel along with his wife Maria quickly embarked in their new endeavor. At that time, they were residing with their 3 children in Worcester, MA.

In the interim of making their efforts to relocate to the city of Holyoke, they commuted four days a week for an hour, to and from Worcester to ensure they were meeting the needs of their new congregation. After just over a year of commuting, the Pastoral Family was able to obtain a residence in Holyoke, MA.

Rev. Samuel and Maria Mateo began leading a group of 15 people. In a short time period, the membership began to grow and it was time to relocate. The Lord allowed the purchase of the current facility where they are able to accommodate 150 people. Even though there are many wonderful experiences at the current church, we have outgrown the facilities.

God has spoken to Rev. Samuel and Maria Mateo on numerous occasions that it is time to expand. There is so much work to be done and the church is excited and ready!
